Edgemaster machines feature a very unique process to form corners to create, for example, a pan shaped part from a solid rectangle of sheet metal in one process. The technique eliminates all welding and finishing as a secondary process. The savings are tremendous for manufacturers who either produce a lot of these types of parts, or who presently leave the corners unwelded because they can not afford to close them.
Advantages to this novel approach are numerous.

Ernst sheet metal finishing machines feature all the components required to obtain desired finishing results. Machines are available both for wet and dry finishing and may be configured for Deburring, Graining, Breaking Edges, Rounding Edges, Finishing Surfaces, Removing Oxide and Cleaning and Drying.
These machines provide the ultimate flexibility because:
Kuhlmeyer machines feature all the components required to obtain the desired surface finishing results in formed and welded parts, including an additional series able to bevel thick plate parts for weld preparation and assembly.

Finish welded edges up to 64" long, semi- or fully-automated. These machines perform an oscillating up and down movement, while rotating in up to nine programmable positions around the edge. Models are available to finish one, two or four corners at the same time. These machines are so efficient, they pay for themselves in a short time. Some key benefits include:

Finish any formed or welded parts, surface and edges, semi-manually. These machines efficiently obtain surface finishes your customer desires and are especially well suited for applications in stainless steel and aluminum.
Kuhlmeyer has produced a machine which economically cleans any straight edge and cuts a bevel, if required, eliminating flame cut bevels, or even more expensive milled edges. The finished surfaces are high quality, while the abrasive cost is less than 3 cents per foot for most applications.
The work pieces are clamped pneumatically along a straight edge. The machine is available in lengths of 10', 20', 30' and 40' and can accommodate single large parts or a series of small parts held by the clamps. The minimum part size in the perpendicular dimension is 1.5". The KFS can accommodate parts up to 5.0" in height.
Easy operation, high production rates, and an unsurpassed surface quality of the finished edge are the key features for this machine. Any manufacturer working with high volumes of plate steel must consider this option.
